Bamboo is a digital investment platform, founded in Lagos, Nigeria in 2019, that lets people in Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, and the diaspora invest in U.S. stocks, Nigerian stocks, Savings, Treasury Bills and more. Today, over 1.2 million investors across Africa use Bamboo to grow their wealth. Bamboo is registered with Nigeria's Securities and Exchange Commission, and U.S. stock access is provided through DriveWealth LLC, a FINRA-registered broker-dealer.

Bamboo was co-founded in 2019 by Richmond Bassey and Yanmo Omorogbe with a simple idea: investing in global markets shouldn't require a foreign bank account, a broker with a minimum-deposit requirement, or paperwork most first-time investors find intimidating. Bamboo (known on the App Store and Google Play as "Bamboo: Invest. Trade. Earn.") started by giving Nigerians a way to buy fractional shares of U.S. companies from their phone, and has since expanded into Nigerian stocks, savings, treasury bills, and dollar-denominated fixed income, with a growing footprint across Ghana, South Africa, and the diaspora.
